YAHOO LAUNCHES NEW TV CHANNEL ON A BAD HAIR DAY (Correction)

Less than a month ago, Yahoo launched a news channel called Trending Now. It’s the first video “TV” channel of its kind that’s completely focused on what’s trending now.

I really like the channel for the quick snippets of news I can use. I hate to say this but…the host Adriana Diaz’s hair is so distracting, that it takes away from her professional delivery and the fact that the news is far more important than her hair.

With a net worth of $34 BILLION dollars, doesn’t Yahoo have a hair and makeup budget? And what’s with the home grown video style? In 2008, Microsoft attempted to acquire Yahoo for $44.6 billion. Yahoo execs rejected the offer with claims that it “substantially undervalues” Yahoo and was not in the interest of its shareholders. Three years later the stock took a nose dive to $22 billion, and now it’s creeping back up to $34 billion. Perhaps the same folks who allowed the company to lose $10 to $20 billion in funding (by rejecting $44.6 billion), are the same ones who conjured up a cheap TV channel with no budget to reflect a professional presence.
