Netflix: Privacy Mode

Show, No Tell:

Let’s be real – we all have our embarrassing “binge watches” that you want no one to be aware of (mine being- Adventure Time on Cartoon Network). Well, Netflix reportedly has solved that problem. Netflix Director of Corporate Communications and Technology, Cliff Edwards told Time that Netflix is testing the new “Privacy Mode” feature that allows users to conceal their view history from account members.  The feature also disables Netflix from recommending future movies & shows for your account.

Curiously, the feature may not be available for everyone. Time.com states that though the feature will help enstill a sense of confidentiality for viewers, not everyone is entitled to acquiring the upgrade. One can assume that members will be paying an additional fee for the feature– is it worth it?  Is having privacy even necessary?  Tell me your thoughts 🙂

Stay tuned…
