twitterUpgrade alert:`

The Twitter team announced Friday: direct message feeds in their entirety will be available for iPhone and android apps, providing full message history for users.  In addition, Twitter will discontinue direct message accessibility on mobile and web to avoid confusion.

Finally!!!- all of our prayers have been answered!– NOT.  Like myself, some of you may be thinking “who cares?!”

While the topic seems miniscule, the new feature offers tremendous support for the Twitterverse, which is feeling the heat from the  increased popularity of WhatsApp and Line.  Users want to talk privately and like always- you have to give the people what they want!

Twitter CEO Dick Costello, hopes that the new feature will also spark increased usage internationally.

“there’s a real opportunity for us when we think about our private messaging to strengthen the core of our Twitter product by making it easier for users to move more fluidly between the public conversation that happens everywhere on Twitter and the private conversation between you and a friend or you and a few friends.”

Welp users, this isn’t the end of the Twitter “Upgrade You” era.  As speculation persists, users can expect frequent enhancements including Direct Messages from people outside of your followers circle and group direct messaging.
